On December 22, 2017 the most sweeping tax legislation since the Tax Reform Act of 1986 was signed into law. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 simplified yet increased the complexity of tax law itself. Thirty years since the last tax law change.

Nothing is permanent except impermanence. My income tax practice focuses on helping navigate the complex waters of income tax law as life changes.

My career as a tax accountant includes working in both public and private industry. I’ve been blessed to have worked for great companies and with individuals who made those companies great. The road to private practice has not always been a straight and smooth ride however, the gift of knowledge and experience gained has been invaluable. I offer such gift to the island community.

I have taken on leadership roles serving the community at large. Roles include serving the state society of CPAs, nonprofit organizations, Boy Scouts of America, and most recently Hawaii County Salary and Tax Board of Appeals commissioner.
